Daniel's thoughts.....

Before coming into this class, I had no previous knowledege of what "really" went on in the Vietnam War. Now, ofcourse I was familiar with the war, but had no clue what the truths were behind everything. Growing up, you become familiar with the enemy: Vietnam. After reading The Tragedy In Vietnam, I had to question that. I mean, did we even have a right to be over there??? Tens of thousands of lives lost over what might have been one of America's most unnecessary acts. It kind of makes you think about certain current events that are taking place.

Anywho, the author did an extremly well job of presenting an unbiased version of the history of Vietnam and showing the struggle that the Vietnamese people have endured. There was an intricate amount of info sprayed throughout the book, but you never got the feeling that you were just reading a boring text book. I really did'nt think i would retain any specific details, but apparently the test proved otherwise. Great book!
